Fearless. Formidable. And absolutely unforgettable.

There are people who volunteer their time. There are people who lend their talents. And then there are those rare people who bring their whole force of personality to the cause.

Mary Warburton Boland is one of those people.

For CLASSIQUE, Mary doesn’t simply help with the auction. She makes it happen.

She finds the prospects. Makes the introductions. Builds the relationships. Makes the ask. Follows up. And follows up again. She picks up donations, organizes items, helps create experiences, recruits others and somehow keeps all the pieces moving forward.

She does it with confidence, persistence and a remarkable ability to make people want to be part of something meaningful.

Around here, we’ve learned one simple truth:

If Mary calls, you’re donating.

We say it with a smile, but behind the joke is something we never take for granted.

Every phone call Mary makes, every door she opens and every relationship she brings to CLASSIQUE ultimately helps Meals on Wheels of the Monterey Peninsula nourish and care for people throughout our community.

That is Mary’s real gift.

She doesn’t just secure things for an auction. She brings people in. She turns relationships into generosity, generosity into possibility, and possibility into greater impact for the people we serve.

CLASSIQUE would not be CLASSIQUE without her.

And Meals on Wheels of the Monterey Peninsula is stronger because Mary has chosen, year after year, to stand beside us and put her considerable determination, generosity and heart to work on our behalf.

Mary, we see you.

We see the calls no one else hears.
The conversations no one else knows about.
The follow-ups. The introductions. The details.
The persistence behind every “yes.”

Most of all, we see the heart behind all of it.

For everything you do, for everything you bring to CLASSIQUE, and for every person whose life is touched because you chose to care:

Thank you, Mary.

With admiration, affection and tremendous gratitude,
Your Meals on Wheels of the Monterey Peninsula family
